Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus Launched (Similar Design, Improved Camera)

Samsung has finally launched its latest flagship smartphones named Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. The main highlight of these devices is the refined but similar design and improved camera. The booking of these phones is already opened in many countries including India you can book it with an amount of Rs. 2000 from the official site. However, the price for India is still unclear whereas in the US it will cost you $719.99 for the Galaxy S9 and $839.99 for the S9 Plus. The availability of these handsets will be from 16th March 2018.

As per the specifications:

The Samsung Galaxy S9 comes with a 5.8-inch Quad HD+ (2960 × 1440 pixels) Super AMOLED display, on the other hand, the Plus variant comes with 6.2-inch display with 529ppi rest of the display specs are similar to S9.

These two variants are boosted by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor along with Adreno 630 GPU, while it also comes with an in-house processor named Exynos 9 Series 9810 which will be available in some regions across the globe.

The S9 is powered by 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM, while the Galaxy S9 Plus has 6GB RAM in-built, but both smartphones come with similar storage variants like 64GB/128GB/256GB that is expandable up to 400GB through microSD.

They run on latest Android 8.0 (Oreo) out of the box and supports Single / Hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano / microSD).

In the camera department of S9, it rocks a 12MP Dual Pixel rear camera which comes with LED Flash, f/2.4-f/1.5 variable aperture and also it has a super slo-mo mode which can capture at 480fps. The Galaxy S9 Plus has changed camera setup, it rocks dual camera setup of 12MP+12MP the primary rear camera comes with f/2.4-f/1.5 which are the variable aperture, while the secondary has fixed f/2.4 aperture. It is capable of recording super slo-mo video at 960fps, which is really interesting.

Both S9 and S9+ has a 8MP front camera with autofocus, wide-angle lens and f/1.7 aperture. The smartphones this time has stereo speakers tuned by AKG, Dolby Atmos which can give the best ever experience in a handset.

As far as connectivity concern, it has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4/5GHz), VHT80 MU-MIMO, Bluetooth 5 (LE up to 2Mbps), GPS with GLONASS, USB 3.1, NFC, MST. As usual, these two new flagship phones from Samsung comes with water and dust resistant (IP68).

The Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus are fueled by a 3000mAh and 3500mAh battery with the support of fast charging including wired and wireless options.
