InFocus, a well-established brand in India had launched their latest smartphones named Snap 4 and Turbo 5 Plus on September 13. The price of these smartphones are Rs 8,999 and Rs 11,999, respectively. Both of them are Amazon exclusive. However, the availability detail varies – the Turbo 5 Plus will go on sale from September 21 while the Snap 4 will be available from September 26. Lets take a look at the specifications of these devices along with our impressions below.
Firstly talking about InFocus Snap 4, it has a 5.2-inch HD display with the resolution of (720×1280 pixels). We do not get a Full HD display with this phone but still the display experience is good in terms of color accuracy and sharpness. If we look a the design and build quality of the device, then it feels really solid and well crafted, it is an all metal device. At the right side of the device, it has a wake-up button along with SIM tray and the left side has volume rockers. The bottom of the handset has a speaker grill and a microUSB port while the top houses the 3.5mm jack. The top rear front has dual cameras setup which looks to be well fitted.Snap 4 is a camera-focused smartphone which comes with 13+8MP dual rear cameras and 8+8MP dual front cameras. Both the cameras are capable of good images, and some pictures captured by Snap 4 in our testing performed well. However, the rear primary camera setup is more superior than the front-facing selfie cameras. The rear camera also packs LED flash and autofocus. Also, there are some features such as like beauty mode, etc.
It is boosted by a MediaTek MT6750N octa-core 64-bit processor which has (4 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5GHz + 4 other cores which are clocked at 1GHz). The phone is powered by 4GB of RAM along with Mali-T860 GPU. The device offers 64GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. It is fueled by a 3000mAh battery and comes with a fingerprint scanner situated at the home button. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and supports Dual SIM.
Now coming to the Turbo 5 Plus, it the successor of Turbo 5 and it sports a 5.5-inch HD display panel with the resolution of (1280×720) pixels. The display feels to be pretty clear and bright. Like Snap 4, the Turbo 5 Plus also has an all-metal built body, which feels and looks solid in hands. The right side of the device has the volume rockers and power button while the left side has the SIM slot tray. At the top, it has the 3.5mm jack while the bottom has the microUSB port for charging the device. It has a fingerprint scanner, which is situated on top of the home button. We feel that it is very conveniently placed and it is quite accurate as well.It is a battery centric smartphone that is fueled by a massive 4950mAh battery. On paper, it should give around two days of battery life but we will test it soon and share the feedback of its battery life in our full review.
In the camera department, it rocks 13+5MP dual rear cameras with a LED flash. It is also capable of taking images and comes inbuilt with decent features. On the front of the device, there is a 5MP camera which is quite decent too. The handset is boosted by an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 64-bit processor. It is powered by 3GB of RAM and offers 32GB of internal storage, which can also be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card. It also runs on Android 7.0 Naugat out of the box.
These two smartphones have similar connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, USB OTG, microUSB, GPS, and 4G VoLTE.
