The most saddest thing is there is no corning gorilla glass protections on the screen, as we can also see most of the low budget device have it, but also the Elephone is providing providing a premium tempered glass with this device and a screen guard too, as free with this device so not to worry more about screen. Interface and Apps

The Elephone P8000 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with its own custom UI on top. Its own Custom UI is well performing and very smooth, you will be get something changed from usual 5.1 lollipop, there is no home button in the middle, where you can access everything this time you have to just swipe your maine screen and you can choose your needed apps. As from company’s side there will be a Android Marshmallow 6.0 update before December.

You can also implement new theme which will make your device look differ. There are lots of new other pre installed wallpapers which you can also use. Overall the experience with its UI is Good, and this is very simple too. You will not get any extra useful apps like you will be just getting a Personalization apps to themes and all other apps like, Gmail, Youtube.

Hardware & Performance

The device comes with 3GB of RAM which is clocked at 1.3Ghz Mediatek MTK6753(64 bit) Octacore processor, Mali-T720 GPU also included. The device in that budget and with that much high specification very rarely found in India. So let’s talk about performance of P8000, performance of the device is very well and smooth, the device handles multitasks very easily, and for the gaming we have tested, two or three games which is also performing very well like, subway surfer, jetpack joyride which is less then 100MB and performs very smooth, in heavy gaming we have only tested with Asphalt 8, we notice very little frames drops, which can also be noticed in big devices, and yes one thing we notice little bit heating while playing this games, but over all experience is very smooth and responsive.

The Elephone P8000 packed with 16GB or inbuilt storage space which you can expend up to 64GB. For the connectivity the device 4G connectivity options which also supports LTE bands. There is a fingerprint scanner on the back of the device, which is responsive but sometime you may get disappointed it may deny to accept your finger, or have use password system to unlock the device. The response percent of the finger scanner is approx 80% from our side.

It is packed packed with a 4,165 mAh non removable battery. As we are using this device from 4 to 5 days yes in terms of battery backup you will fell that you have a beast in you hands, which is never hungry. the device device last for 24 to 25 hours in one charge, but to charge the device you have to give little more time, it will take approx 4 hours to go to 100%.

Camera and video quality

It is packed with 13 Megapixels camera on the back with A LED flashlight. And in front there is 5MP front-facing camera. The camera quality from our side is not good as expected from this device the device can not take good images from 13MP camera, yes but it can have average shots well, but as company said that new update will enhance the camera more, over all experience from back camera is about average. Lets come to the front facing camera which is of 5MP, the front camera also don’t performs as we expect from 5PM, the device perform well in light condition but when you will comes to dark you will sure find poor quality shots. we have attached the Samples below you can watch. So lets come the the video quality of the phone, yes this time the video quality of the phone is well it can record upto 1080P videos.

Final thoughts

There are very much less device which can give you everything at particular budget. The device is well performing in every except camera which does not impressed. If you are looking for device which will never let you feel empty because the battery backup of the device is really impressive and also you can have lots more heavy tasking, at that much budget this is really not a bad deal. The device only costs Rs. 12,990 in India, and available through company’s official site elephonesindia limited stocks are available.
